The route
The driver takes the A3 or the A243 south past Chessington to junction 9 of the M25 at Leatherhead, then clockwise to junction 7 and down the M23. When the M25 is slow, the driver may go through Epsom and over the Downs on the A217 instead.
Rail from Kingston
There is no direct train from Kingston to Gatwick. By rail you would go via Wimbledon or Clapham Junction and change, with luggage. A taxi from your door is simpler, especially for families.
