Epsom to Heathrow taxi

Fixed fare from £59 · 29 miles · about 40 minutes

Heathrow is the airport most Epsom travellers use for long-haul flights, and getting there with luggage is where a pre-booked car earns its keep. There is no direct train from Epsom to Heathrow, and the usual rail journey means changing in central London and crossing to Paddington, or a long bus connection. Our Epsom to Heathrow taxi collects you from your door and drops you outside your terminal.

A saloon from central Epsom costs from £59, fixed when you book. The drive is around 29 miles and usually takes 40 minutes outside the rush hour. The fare is for the car, not per person, and it does not change if the M25 is slow.

The route from Epsom to Heathrow

Most of the time the driver heads out of Epsom on the A24 or A243, joins the M25 at junction 9 by Leatherhead, and runs anticlockwise past Cobham and Chertsey. For Terminal 5 they leave at junction 14; for Terminals 2 and 3 they carry on to junction 15 and take the M4 spur into the central area; Terminal 4 is reached from junction 14 along the southern perimeter road.

The M25 between junctions 10 and 16 is one of the busiest stretches of motorway in the country, so for morning flights we build in extra time. Late in the evening or very early in the morning, the drive can be quicker through Kingston and Feltham instead. Either way, the price you were quoted stays the same.

How early to leave Epsom

For a long-haul flight most airlines suggest arriving three hours before departure, and two hours for short-haul. If your flight leaves at 9am from Terminal 5, a pickup in Epsom at around 5.15am gives a comfortable margin. Tell us the flight time when you book and we will suggest a pickup time if you are unsure.

Which Heathrow terminal?

Heathrow has four passenger terminals. Your booking confirmation or airline app tells you which one you need. Choose it on the booking form and the driver goes straight there.

Terminal 2 (The Queen’s Terminal)

Used by most Star Alliance airlines.

Terminal 3

Next to Terminal 2 in the central area, mostly long-haul airlines.

Terminal 4

On the south side of the airport, with its own road access.

Terminal 5

The British Airways terminal, at the western end of the airport.

Flying home: Heathrow to Epsom

When you book your return, add your flight number. The driver tracks your flight, waits in the arrivals hall with a name board and walks you to the car. If the flight is delayed, the pickup moves with it at no extra charge. Book both journeys together and the return leg is 5% cheaper. See Heathrow to Epsom for the details of the return trip.

Is a taxi better than parking at Heathrow?

For a week away, Heathrow's official car parks and meet-and-greet parking can easily cost more than the return fare, and that is before fuel and the drive itself. A pre-booked car also means nobody has to drive home tired after a night flight. For two or more people travelling together, a fixed-price Epsom to Heathrow taxi is usually the cheaper and calmer option.
