The route
There are two main options from Cheam:
- Via Kingston: west along the A232 or A240 towards Kingston, across the Thames and through Hampton and Feltham to Heathrow. Usually the shortest.
- Via the M25: south on the A217 to junction 8 at Reigate Hill, then anticlockwise to junction 14 or 15. Longer, but more reliable when Kingston is congested.
The X26 bus
The X26 bus from Cheam to Heathrow is an option for one person with little luggage. It takes much longer than a car and stops often along the way. For most travellers with suitcases, a fixed-price taxi is easier.
