Dorking is a historic market town under Box Hill, surrounded by the Surrey Hills villages of Westcott, Brockham, Mickleham, Capel, Holmwood and more. Many addresses here are rural, down lanes without street lighting or house numbers, and that is where a local driver who knows the area makes the difference. Our Dorking taxis are pre-booked at a fixed price.

Finding rural addresses
For homes outside the town, add directions, a house name or a what3words reference when you book. Tell us about gates, long drives or narrow lanes. We pick up from:
- Dorking town centre and the High Street
- Westcott, Brockham and Betchworth
- Mickleham and Box Hill
- Holmwood, Capel and Beare Green
- Ranmore and the villages towards Abinger
Three stations
Dorking has three stations. Dorking main station has trains to London Waterloo and Victoria. Dorking Deepdene and Dorking West are on the line between Reading and Gatwick, which means there are direct trains from Dorking Deepdene to Gatwick Airport. They are less frequent than the main line, though, and with a lot of luggage a taxi from your door is often the simpler option.
Weddings and events in the Surrey Hills
Dorking and the hills around it are a popular wedding area, with venues on country estates and at Denbies Wine Estate. We drive guests between hotels, venues and stations, and can provide several cars or an MPV for the same time. See our wedding cars page.
Gatwick from Dorking
Gatwick is close to Dorking. The driver takes either the cross-country roads towards Reigate and Horley, or the M25 from Leatherhead and the M23, whichever is quicker on the day. A saloon costs from £49. See Dorking to Gatwick.
Heathrow from Dorking
For Heathrow, the driver heads up the A24 to the M25 at Leatherhead and runs anticlockwise to junction 14 or 15. See Dorking to Heathrow.
